What happens to my Custom GPT on 11 December 2026?

OpenAI retires Custom GPTs on 11 December 2026, on every plan, and after that you can't use them in ChatGPT. Before that date, open your GPT's editor, copy its instructions and conversation starters, and download the knowledge files you uploaded. Import them into LoadMyAI and you can keep using the assistant in Claude, ChatGPT or Cursor.

Do I need a new AI subscription?

No. LoadMyAI doesn't run an AI model. You use the Claude, ChatGPT or Cursor plan you already have, and LoadMyAI loads your assistant's instructions and files into it.

Does it work with Claude, ChatGPT and Cursor?

Yes. In Claude, add the connector URL as a custom connector (Claude Free allows one). In ChatGPT, add it as a custom MCP server on plans that allow one, such as Pro and Business; on other plans, paste the assistant's full prompt instead. In Cursor, add the URL to your mcp.json. Any app that supports remote MCP servers works the same way.

How does connecting an AI app work?

You add one URL to your AI app. The app sends you to LoadMyAI, you sign in with your email and approve the connection. After that, every assistant you can use shows up in that app. Access is read-only.

What gets imported, and what doesn't?

Imported: the name, description, instructions, conversation starters, capability settings and your knowledge files. Not imported: custom actions (their names go in your migration report), chat history, and the GPT's chosen model. Image generation, browsing and code execution come from the AI app you use, so they work if that app offers them.

What about custom actions?

LoadMyAI doesn't run custom actions or call outside APIs for you. The importer records each action's name in your migration report so you know what to rebuild, and it removes anything that looks like an API key. OpenAI's Migrate to Plugin doesn't carry custom actions over either.

Can I import a Claude Project?

Yes. Copy the project instructions, download the files from project knowledge, and choose Claude Project as the source in the import wizard.

Can I upload large files?

Yes, up to 25 MB per file. PDF, Word (.docx), Markdown, text, CSV and JSON files have their text extracted so your AI can search them. Scanned PDFs without a text layer are flagged, since there's no OCR yet. Images are stored and listed, but their contents aren't read.

Do you need my ChatGPT or Claude password?

No. You paste the configuration yourself and upload the files you own. LoadMyAI never asks for your OpenAI or Anthropic login.

Is my data private?

Yes. Your workspaces are visible only to you and the people you invite. Row-level security in the database enforces that, and files live in private storage. Read the Security page for the details and the limits.

Can my AI app see my drafts?

No. AI apps, copied prompts and ZIP exports only include published versions. Drafts stay in the editor until you publish them.

Can I share assistants with my team or clients?

Yes. Invite people by email to a workspace as an editor or viewer, or give someone access to a single assistant. You can remove their access at any time. Anyone who can use an assistant can read its instructions and documents, so share with people you trust.

Can I export everything?

You can download each assistant as a ZIP: workspace and assistant instructions, skills, documents and task prompts as Markdown, the original files, and a machine-readable copy of the full configuration. Nothing in it depends on us. You can also copy an assistant's full prompt. A single export of a whole account isn't available yet.

How do I disconnect an AI app?

Go to Settings, then Connections, and revoke it. The app loses access straight away. To use it again, add the connector in the app and approve it again.

How much does it cost?

LoadMyAI is in an invite-only beta and there's no billing yet. Plans and prices will be published before public launch.

Is LoadMyAI affiliated with OpenAI or Anthropic?

No. LoadMyAI is independent and isn't affiliated with or endorsed by OpenAI or Anthropic.

Ready to bring an assistant over?

Sign-up is invite-only during the beta.
